Jennifer Grimm Honored for Courage, Community Involvement

Jennifer Grimm of Osage is One Vision’s most recent recipient of the Golden Heart Award, recognizing Jennifer for the significant impact she’s had on her community, her family, our organization, and herself. The Golden Heart Award is given to a person supported by One Vision who exhibits competence, community involvement, courtesy, and courage.

In the three years Jennifer has received support from One Vision, she has achieved many milestones. Living far from family in her home state of Louisiana, Jennifer struggled to discover opportunities and gain independence. However, in the past years, she obtained her driver’s license, joined a local church family, volunteers at Shop On State in Osage, and continued to improve the health and safety of not only herself, but her husband and young son as well.

“When you meet Jennifer for the first time, you will sense the pureness of this young woman’s heart,” said James Meineke, a team coordinator for One Vision. “She has accomplished more in three years with (the support of our organization) than many will in a lifetime.”
