From the CEO: A season for gratitude and thanks

In this season of Thanksgiving, I am mindful of so much for which we have to be grateful. Each day, I am privileged to be a part of an organization that directly impacts the quality of life of many.

Opportunity Village has been making a difference for people with disabilities and their families for more than 40 years. Such a long history of caring makes it difficult to comprehend the collective impact that’s been made and will continue to be made in the coming years.

I want to share some of the sentiments of gratitude we recently received from those we support and their families.

~

“We are eternally grateful to the Village. We have seen so much growth in our son over the last almost 2 years. It is due to all the amazing people we have had come into our lives.”

~

“Thank you. You have helped us more than you know. I thank God everyday for leading us to you.”

~

“Thank you—all of you—from the bottom of my heart.”

~

“Our family would like to express our sincere gratefulness for all that you do to serve....”

~

“It is because of staff like you, who are willing to work with our children, that so many children and their families are given hope — that they’re being equipped with lifelong tools that will assist them in so many ways.”

~

“As a mom, I just want to thank you for always being so cheerful, kind, and patient with my son and for investing in his life. You are truly making a difference, one step at a time!”

~

When I hear the gratitude of a few and consider that we currently serve more than 600 people, compounded by more than 40 years, I soon know that we have much for which to be grateful.

And I am grateful for many things. I am grateful for the lives impacted. I am also deeply grateful for friends like you who are part of our family of caring. Together, we are making a difference for many.
