Fieldhouse, One Vision's newest retail venture designed to elevate the local food movement while simulataneously supporting services provided by the organization, is officially open for business in downtown Clear Lake.

Located at 14 N. 3rd St. in a leased building just east of City Park, Fieldhouse’s concept will be farm-to-table. The restaurant features a constantly changing menu, focusing on seasonal, fresh ingredients, sourced locally whenever possible. Beverages will parallel the food in its simplicity, offering a menu that features classic cocktails and a variety of local beers. Food will be served family-style to encourage conversation and interaction among patrons.

Fieldhouse will be open Thursday through Saturday, 5 p.m. to close; and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Restaurant hours will expand as staff is hired and in response to customer feedback.

Fieldhouse was created after a partnership was formed between OV and Forest City native and seasoned restaurant manager Joshua Frederick. The idea to create a restaurant originally came after exploring industries that offered good opportunities to provide individuals supported by OV with jobs and valuable skills needed for employment.

“This environment provides an opportunity for those we support to work in multiple roles,” said Michael Mahaffey, chief development officer. “They can start working with us, and it will prepare them to work elsewhere.”

Profits will support services provided by OV, helping to reduce the organization’s reliance on Medicaid funding.
