Recognitions
Direct Support Professional of the Month recognizes employees who show initiative, support coworkers, model a positive attitude, have a willingness to take on extra tasks, promote rights & learning of people supported, and promote OV's mission and team building.
Thornblade Award: Seven awards are presented each year to deserving employees of One Vision in honor of longtime staff member Tom Thornblade. Winners are recognized for outstanding work with individuals served, being a positive influence, going above and beyond assigned duties, and seeking to grow and improve.
Shirley Echelbarger Award: The Shirley Echelbarger Award is presented annually to our Employee of the Year. Recipients are selected from past Tom Thornblade Award recipients for the previous two years.
The Iowa Association of Community Providers (IACP) presents the Frontline Supervisor Community Builder Award to one individual each year, recognizing excellence in service and relentless advocacy for vulnerable Iowans.
