The Smart Living Process
Getting Basic Information
Let's sit down and discuss what Smart Living is and what it might mean for you and your loved one. You'll learn about the vast choices of assistive technology that can provide support, and we will tour you through our technology support office allowing you to see first-hand how individuals currently living in a Smart Living care model interact through technology. You will also go home with success stories and additional information about how the entire transition to a smart home unfolds.
Getting to Know Each Other
Once you decide this is the right care model for you or loved one, the One Vision Smart Living team will begin their work. Since this care model is personalized to everyone, at this stage multiple assessments will occur. Assessments include an FAQ of Enabling Technology, a Time Study, and a Home Walkthrough. The assessments help the team make decisions for a successful transition and long-term Smart Living care model.
Making the Best Decision
With the assessments compiled, the next phase is to make decisions based on the data, with the best interest of you and your loved one at the forefront. The One Vision Smart Living team will share the assessments and provide their professional recommendations and Smart Living plan for you or your loved one. The topics will include both natural and paid support, the risks and benefits, and the ideal enabling technology for you. Ultimately, this phase puts an individualized, technology-first plan to independence in motion.
